Most days we make snap decisions about issues that are based
on the most current information that we have available; it’s sad to say that we
do the same with people. Today’s title
is “No Judgment Zone”. We don’t like being placed in a box; we really dislike it
when we are judged; we really disdain the preconceived notions that others may have
about us that don’t even know us, however we do the same at the drop of a
hat.
Snap judgment maybe an opportunity for individual growth. As much as we don’t like being categorized,
that same feeling can energize our compassion to look before we leap; pun
intended. Don’t jump to any judgmental
conclusions, at least until you get to know the person. A tree is truly known by the fruit it bears,
but that still doesn’t give us the right to condemn anyone.
Jesus taught us to get the beam out of our own eye so we can
see clearly to assist others with getting the splinter out of theirs. In other words, I have no right to judge
because I’ve possibly been there myself.
We don’t know what others are dealing with or what they’ve been
through. A little compassion or
understanding goes a long way; forgiveness can be added to that equation as
well.
Life has enough daily issues for us to handle, that we do not
have the time to confine others to hell’s damnation. Instead of condemning, let’s pray for them;
you never know, your prayer maybe the one thing that aids them in their
successful navigation of their situation.
That old adage of doing unto others comes to mind; you may be in need of
them praying for you someday.
Our lives are but a vapor and very delicate. Let’s enjoy the life that we’ve been gifted
to the fullest. I’m somewhat of an
eternal optimist, so I encourage you all, myself included, to do good where we
can and where we can’t, send up a prayer.
Christ offers compassion, let’s follow His example. If He loved us, we should also love one
another.
This has been your 80 seconds of encouragement.
