Let’s face it, we’re not going to accomplish
everything that we undertake, but that’s not a good reason not to make an attempt. Life is amazing in that we get a
do-over; we can start again. We’ve all
heard the old proverb, “If at first you don’t succeed, try, try again”. I’m not trying to glamorize failure – I’m
trying to bring it into perspective.
The trick to handling failure is to have someone in
your corner; plainly said a support system that will pick you up when you’re
down or even better, catch you before you fall.
Getting up is easy when you have a reason to get up; something or
someone. Don’t get caught up in self
piety and wallow in failure. Both are a
cancer that will eat away at potential and leave its victims shouldering regret.
I believe, to stay down is not in our human nature. If that were so, we’d all be crawling around
like babies – still. As babies see
others walking, instinctively they know that it is something that they can do,
although they’ve never done it before.
The first time they try walking, we as adults know that they won’t
succeed. The event of falling may
temporarily scare them, but not even fear keeps them down. They continue to try until one glorious day they
get the hang of it and waddle along accomplishing something that is similar to
walking.
Parents burst with pride to see their child doing
the simplest thing such as walking. Just
think how our Heavenly Father feels when He sees us accomplishing life; even
more so if He’s an intricate part of it.
We live in a cruel world, which is a sad truth, one
in which instead of picking you up, some would rather kick you while you’re
down. However, I will say that the
bottom view gives you a certain perspective.
It definitely causes you to enjoy, respect, and humbly be grateful for
the amount of success that you will achieve; “Started from the bottom, now we
here”, got it Drake.
So what is your response to failure? It’s an individual question that only you can
answer. The grave yard is the one spot
with the most potential; but will never be fulfilled. Sadly, it’s also the one spot with the most
regret. You have one life to live, make
the most of it; do not allow the previous two statements to be your story. Failure is not the end; it’s simply the
starting over point of your success. If
you accept this statement, then failure is not on the table which mean failure
is not an option. You got this, so let's go; success, here we come.
This has been your 80 seconds of encouragement.
